Getting Started with FifthFirm

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Platform Overview

FifthFirm is an AI-powered professional services platform designed for CPA firms, bookkeepers, and financial professionals. It connects to your existing accounting software (starting with QuickBooks Online) and uses 110+ specialized AI agents to automate bookkeeping, generate financial reports, and deliver market intelligence.

What FifthFirm is: A tool that makes your team faster and more accurate. AI handles the repetitive work (categorization, reconciliation, report formatting). Your professionals review, verify, and approve.

What FifthFirm is not: A replacement for licensed professionals. All AI output requires human review before use in financial statements, tax filings, or client deliverables.

Create Your Account

1

Visit fifthfirm.com/register and enter your name, work email, firm name, and password. You can also sign up with Google or Microsoft.

2

Create your organization

Your firm is set up as an Organization in FifthFirm. You can invite team members later with different roles: Owner, Admin, Staff, or Viewer.

3

Choose your services

Select which services you need: Bookkeeping, CFO Advisory, Tax Overflow, Benchmark Reports, or all of the above. You can change this anytime.

Connect QuickBooks Online

Most FifthFirm features require a QuickBooks Online connection. See our dedicated QuickBooks Online Integration Guide for step-by-step instructions.

FifthFirm uses OAuth 2.0 — we never see or store your QBO password. You can revoke access at any time.

First Steps After Setup

1

Review your dashboard

Once connected, your dashboard shows real-time financial data: cash balance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and recent invoices pulled directly from QBO.

2

Add your first client

Go to Dashboard → Clients and add your first client. Connect their QBO account and select the engagement type (bookkeeping, tax prep, advisory).

3

Generate a report

Try the Market Density Report — enter a city, state, and business category to see competitive density, zip code distribution, and regional benchmarks from 14.1 million US businesses.

4

Invite your team

Go to Settings → Team Members to invite colleagues. Assign appropriate roles based on their responsibilities.
